Home Made Hookah

Very nice setup Pete!

As for the air resevoir, Air Line makes a 2.5 gallon accumulator tank that they sell for $150. Basically we found that this is the same container used in fire extenguishers and went to a local supplier and bought one for $20.

I think the PVC would be a really simple option though and very easy to fabricate.

Used stainless steel press. water cyls. require a 5 year hydrotest, if your getting one for twenty bucks i doubt if it passed or it would be put back in service.Put pressure in it (just air)check for leaks around the welds with soapy water, make sure that it didn't have antifreeze in it,or AFFF(foam)remember you get what you pay for ,be safe out there. Why not a used scuba tank that is out of date.I just scraped a used WK tank
that was spotless, but out of date, plus no one would fill a WK.I think the shops
used to give about a $8 credit for the scrap value.Good looking hooka rig
salvor 6.Was thinking of building one a couple of years ago out of the
Coleman pontoon style oiless compressor, like hooka max uses. The unit was
just under $600,but you had to add the filters, fittings, hoses ,and regs,so you
didn't save much if you didn't already have a lot of the parts.HH Joe

Joe, a used scuba tank would work since its only 100PSI but the tank weighs almost as much as the whole rig. I think I'm going to go with the PVC bottle.
