So what do you see that makes you think it's not going to last very long? All of the same Gast parts run hundreds of hours on an electric motor. The crank bearing on the gas engine should be a lot stronger than the bearing in the Gast 263 that has exactly the same parts in it.

The Gast direct drive compressors are at the most mounted to a 3/4HP electric motor and like the belt driven setups have a built in cooling fan. What is the motor pictured? Looks like maybe a 3HP predator? Thats going to run much higher RPMS than normal.
