Hook found in NJ

Hi, I found this by the Cooper River in Camden County NJ. Would love to know what it is.
It's exactly 4 inches in length. made of some sort of metal. Hopefully i uploaded this correctly.

Pix are good.Looks like a securing hook for a old barn door or shed door .

Looks to be.Forged and hammered from 'square stock' into shape.(Depending on soil & water conditions it was found in) I would 'guess ' maybe 2-3 hundred years old. Diffidently worth checking that area further....Good luck :)!

Gate/barn or anything similar hook. Probably blacksmith forged. Nice find.

It is small for a hoof pick but it has the look.
