Oh don't tease me. Really??? Only 60% chance of rain or less for the next ten days? :notworthy:

https://weather.com/weather/tenday/l/USCA0395:1:US

Ok, after all...I do got a few mods left on the Miller Table to do and the suction gun recovery system (SGRS) needs the optional hook up to a direct dump to my poor mans BGT...as well as the new bigger bucket I just got. Let it rain! I got chit to do! Not to mention the on sight private stream that is begging to test new equipment and offer up who knows what...flooded for now. Some notable slides have been observed, flood gold abounds, new places, old yet to be sampled places, new equipment to be tested/perfected and underwater sniping in areas not dredged since 2010. Looking forward to this season big time! :hello2:

Lot's to be thankful for. Let's rock!:headbang:

BTW....can anybody beat this price for this? I hate paying almost the same for shipping and then 7.75 tax on top...

Price:$10.95 + $8.92 shipping

Weather Alert! Southern Oregon Friday thru Monday-partly cloudy to mostly sunny-yahoo and hopefully EUREKA!

Sunny? What is that?

Sunny? What is that?

That's what is baking me down in Socal currently. Was up north in the motherlode area last week. Nice and cool, rained on and off....Felt much nicer for me at least once I adjusted.

Sunny? What is that?
We're looking at another snow storm! Jeff you need a day on the water! you deserve it. Now GET THE H!@# OUT THERE go find some peace and If you learned any thing from GI you'll do good!

You getting another one of our storms? You're lucky we already took the punch outta it for ya!

Jeff said he was planning on mining with me this summer. Pretty sure he wouldn't let a little thing like this stop him either. I'll be feeling him there on the river. :icon_thumright:

Keep your storms !!! I'm jonesin for a day we got teased a couple of weeks ago 65 degrees for a week. Temps dropped the river froze back up and one blizzard later now a possible Nor' Easter. Last year I was mining at this time

I wouldn't get to excited if I were in California....................Everyone knows that its going to slip into the ocean sooner or latter! :)

OK. First thing I wanted to do was complete my classifier set...which I just did when the 60 came in today. After dealing with the fines, I am totally ok with any soup of minus 60. Cuz from there on down, I do lose interest. Can't see it, don't care, just me. If it was more fines than sands...well then maybe I'll rethink it but life is short and I want the score...and the fun that goes with it of course. If I need a loupe, it's just hard to get excited about it...tho it looks cool no matter the size. And it doesn't mean I like giving gold away...lessons learned and no regrets @ all to Kevin. :icon_thumright:

So here's my completed set of 1/2", 1/8, 12, 20, 40 and 60. If you are wondering where the 1/4" stuff is, it's permanently mounted on my high banker and poor mans' BGT.

Decided against hard lining the shrimp gun to the poor mans' in stream sluice as the new and larger recovery bucket for the gun will feed the sluice just fine the way everything is set up. KISS Just have to wash the margarine out of the 20 # bucket. :laughing7: The discharge hose on the gun is clear and very un-flexable, especially in cold water, so definite trade offs there...but how else will you quickly see/fix a clog in a heavy duty inch and a half hose??? 6 foot long is as much as I want to deal with for now.

New bucket is big enuff for a big rock inside for ballast, instead of on top.

Had strong North winds and another blast of snow overnight. I need a stress free day at the claim to ease this pinched nerve in my neck. But still can't get there from here. Gear is ready, so I guess I'll deal with the numbness in my left hand and leg until Easter....

I had about a dozen tests done before they determined it was a pinched nerve in the groin area causing me pain and numbness in my thighs. No fixing that, cept to lose weight.

I've got to lose some winter weight. Bud Weiser has stopped by the house a little too often this rainy winter. :tongue3:

Don't hate me guys, I'm 61, 150 lbs, drink two, yeah countem, TWO 30 packs a week. No light beer for me.

Perfect stats for a miner mike! Me? More like what not to do. I'll be 60 this year and currently @255 pounds and no spring chicken here. But I do aim to change that. It took a few weeks of "say it out loud" before it sank in but I've been running my life since I retired 4/27/12 and quess what? FUN? Hell Yeah! Did I suck at it? Oh yeah! I fired me 1/1/17 and been tapering off alcohol ever since...till GI passed. NO EXCUSE! I KNOW! But the voices inside said you still have a week so **** it. No more and never again will I think/say those two words and end it.

I was tapering cuz my Doc said it would be better for both of us...it was easier and the Doc said would be safer. Alcohol is/was/will ever be my downfall for far more time than I care to (or can) remember. Been going daily to AA for 2 months...learning and accepting till, it's time and at this very moment, me and alcohol are currently having a going away party. Pretty tame compared to what it could have been, but gotta grow up some time. Much like my ex's, I won't look back and will be cured right now and for now. I respect the power it has over me, but I ain't scared and ain't troubled at all by my decision and it's definitely something I can live with (and longer with for that matter.) And I'm not seeking kudos, acceptance nor anything else from this post except to say AA works and PM me if you want more about it cuz that is what we do. :icon_thumleft:

Good for you Jeff.

I'll be working around the place tomorrow, stop by if you like. If I don't answer the door I might be out back splitting wood or out in the garden getting it ready for early vegetables. Mowing and weed eating all day today. Suppose to be sunny all weekend.

Mike
