that has more of a wicker look to it than any indian baskets I know....and kinda plain too...
 

thanks uncle mac,i thought so too, but i saw one on the other site that looked like mine,they called it hopi too.i had it full of broken points maybe ill just fill it back up
 

hi NCPeaches,im not sure now since someone told me it might be a hopie basket,it caught my eye at an estate sale awhile back i do not think it is ancient but it could be just a work basket they made in the 1900;s or so.i must of had ten pounds of brokes in it so i took them out just in case.i saw one,though not as big on another site made the same way as this one so it could be they would flip corn with it i guess.i liked t as a flint keeper as i could see many brokes in it as i would try to put some back togethor.
 

ah,thank you JRedHorse.i thought it was special when i saw it at the sale,sounds strange but i thought i saw something floating above it when i seen it for the first time.it now has a nice home.thanks again my friend.
 

there is a lady in franklin i will take it too,shes on antique roadshow sometimes,ill see.
