Hey y’all I dug this brass piece recently, and I was wondering what it was. I think it could be related to bridles, but I am not sure. Any help would be appreciated! Can you confirm the measurements and whether or not the flat end has had something broken off.

It is about 1.5cm or .5 of an inch. Flat end appears to have something broken off. Something pokes out at least.

I am 99% sure that your relic is what they called a "carriage knob" and was used to secure the curtain on buggies, carriages and wagons.

Thanks for the response. It makes sense it would be a knob of some type, good id! It gave a spotty signal, but I guess that was partially from nails around it. Thanks again!

I am 98% sure Creskol may be on to something.

The other 2 percent leans towards some sort of strap thingy mah bob.
