Civilman and I went to a house that I did some work at.
The house is dated 1920. We asked the 92 year old homeowner
if we could detect. She said,"What the hell am I gonna do with
that suff. Keep whatever you find." So we were off.
We started finding old coins, '20's and '30's right away.
Then all of a sudden I found three Civil War bullets. That was
VERY unexpected because none of the maps we have show any
troop movement in that area.
The finds for the day were pretty impressive by my standards.

15 wheaties
1954 rosie
1930 standing liberty quarter
silver button
3 lipstick tubes
1930's "Manoil" coupe
pewter butter knife (broke)
12" latle marked "1840 Roger Bros"
5 Civil War bullets
flat button with shank
a few various jewelry items
Junior Sheriff badge

ah after seeing civil mans post --I see more bullets and a plate where found -- humm with more items found in a small overall area -- you might have stumbled upon a picket post site or a small skirmish site ( often these "mini battles"---caused by patrols bumping into one another or a raiding patrol running into a picket post are poorly recorded if at all. great finds !!!

I didn't even think of that, thanks for the idea. We WILL be checking out
the whole 6 acres in the next few weeks.

The CW bullets are great--but my favorite is that silver button. :)

I've dug one of those watch fobs shaped like a pistol too...got it around here somewhere...

Oh, and here's a link to a COOL toy car show thread that made the banner about two years ago...I thought of this thread because of the brand of the first toy listed there.

Cheers,

If you didn't know, you can still buy replacement tires for some of them... Here's few links that might be helpful....
Thanks for the info Leon - now I can get my fleet rolling again.

That's a really nice haul.

Probably here spoons and toys from the 30's.
