How do you vary the Threshold on the latest model Compadre ?

You don't...............It has no threshold.

"The Tesoro Compadre was designed with the idea that less is more. This modest machine can do a lot of the same things that its bigger brothers can do. It works great for coin hunting, competition hunting and relic hunting, but it does it without any excess knobs. Switch on the detector and you're working in a silent search, motion all metal mode. The farther you turn the knob, the more discrimination you can bring to bear on those trashy sites. The Compadre now comes standard with a 5.75" round concentric coil. The depth is equivalent to the original 7" concentric, plus the new coil reduces the likelihood of target masking in extremely trashy ground. It also gives you the ability to get into and around natural obstacles like bushes, fences, and playground equipment."

Sandman and others,

Here's the whole enchilada, start to finish ! (Final answer below in Quote zone) :

Question: Dear Kellyco Order Dept., The Kellyco website ad for the Tesoro Compadre metal detector shows "Variable Threshold" in the specifications list. Since this model has a single dial, used for ON/OFF, Battery test and setting the Discrimination level, I'm wondering how you go about varying the Threshold. Does that adjustment require opening the housing to access the circuit panel ? I couldn't find anything regarding a "Variable Threshold" adjustment in the manual displayed on the Tesoro Official Website.

Todd,
You are correct; there is no threshold for the Compadre. Thanks for pointing the typo out, we will have it fixed before the end of the day.
Best Regards,
JW

Whew ! Got that one fixed !..............Todd

Todd that is good news. Everybody makes mistakes on their websites in spelling and such.
