I'm currently using a Cibola and like it alot. I miss the target ID that I had on previous machines and I'm wondering how good/accurate is the ID on this model from anyone who's currently using it?
I have had mine since December and have about 20 hours on it. With the concentric coil and non trashy area it is dead on. If there is alot of iron in the soil, its been a toss up. It seems that the iron in the ground will mask other targets, even with iron discriminated out. I have the clean sweep coil and it is dead on too in less iron areas. The targets are usually spot on about 90% for coins. You just have to read the whole screen, the number, the wording across the top and the bar guide. I am still learning so thats all i got. TMAN...
You should test sample some gold rings on your Cibola and see what level they are discriminated. I tested some gold rings on mine and it would seem that gold rings are eliminated at below the nail setting. Btw, the cibola is an excellent machine. Check out the 5.25 sniper coil. It helps separating trash from treasure and the pinpointing is much more accurate than the stock coil.
