I am scheduled off today, the ONLY day with SUNSHINE this week... and then the boss tells me my co- worker has the flu and won't be in for next few days!! He asks me to come in...
UHG!! SIGH!! There goes metal detecting and outdoors play today!!
Taking an elderly family member to an appt today... then off to work I go...
CRUD!!!
Won't be able to post no "todays finds" today !!

Yes, planning for something on your day off and then having it cancelled is a bummer. After 10 years of self employment, 24/7/365 'on call'; then working for a company for 9+ years, again, 24/7/365 'on call', really gets to you. I remember sitting on the bank of a lake one night about 9:30 when my cell phone rang. Yep, had to reel in all the lines, pack it up, and go to work. My wife and I were in a boat out on the lake one afternoon. The phone rang, had to go to work! Not fun, and actually wonder sometime if it was worth it. One of my competitors worked 8 to 5, 5 days a week. He had several employees, but wouldn't go out on a call except during work hours. He lost a lot of business because of it, but still stayed business. Hmmm, yes, I got a lot of his customers; but was it worth it? Sure is nice to be retired!!! lol
