I will be graduating college in December and there is a very good chance that I will be moving to Colorado.:hello2: I have several feelers out for jobs and such. Anyways, I wanted to know how the CRHing was in the Denver and Colorado Springs area. Average wheats found per box/ war nickles/ buffalos/ and of course sliver dimes and halves. Also, I am assuming that only D mint coins get delivered there since the mint is right there. Is it hard to find Philadelphia coins???? I'm in Texas right now and it has always been harder to find P mint mark coins so just curious. Any information anyone can give would be great.

Oh do the banks there have coin counters, most all in Houston do not and it reallllllyyyyy sucks.

Thanks for the input

I did not intend for this post to become a political debate. I am graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and I am well aware that no matter were I become employed I will be providing for my family, as well as several illegal aliens, and a pot head or two. This is just the way our screwy country works. I simply want to live somewhere where I can just enjoy my life, and Colorado has a piece of my fiance and my heart. I actually proposed to her there.

To get back to the topic at hand, I am still interested to hear if anyone has any good CRHing experience in the area???

I don't recall that I've seen anybody post from Colorado, so you might have virgin territory there...

With a Mechanical Engineer degree, you'll do fine regardless where you end up. I often wish I'd gone for a double major in Mechanical and Civil, but it would have taken another year. I am kind of surprised you didn't stay in Texas. That used to be the hotbed for engineering jobs, in civil at least.

Congrats and Good luck!

Actually there is a bunch! I live in the springs and first started CRHing about 4 years ago and finds were ok, never east coast but decent. but that dried quickly and i don't even do halves anymore as it's a waste of time. i still spot check from time to time on halves but mainly do dimes and hoard copper. copper is good and i average 1 dime every box or two. I don't do high volume anymore as the time and cost just aren't worth it. I have gone up to a Denver a few times and found nothing in several area's. I have hit a lot of towns south and west of here and there are CRH's just about in every town. I have even ran into a few at banks dumping and we determined we are both on treasurenet. Also Chainchomp or something like that was a active poster on here a few years ago that was in the springs. I chit chat will tellers and always try and get info while chatting so it's always easy to find out if others do this. I know based on tellers and all the banks i do stop by from time to time there is a bunch of guys doing this in the springs. Can't speak to Denver. Good luck:thumbsup:

i am from the great state of Colorado and i have to say quit picking on my state. did you know there are other states that have legalized marijuana and have income tax and have druggies and gangs. why don't you people go pick on one of the other states. Colorado has some of the most beautiful scenery in the world not to mention that most winter Olympic athletes come to Colorado to train. so go pick on some other state. i bet if you looked at your own state you will see druggies and gangs.

hey 50cent where do you live that you do not have to worry about raising your kids around bad influences? i bet if you looked at your state you would find all the things that you say Colorado has.

Hmm... If someone on this forum is from Colorado, then I might imagine they would be offended.

i am from Colorado and i am offended. i would like an apology.

What kind if jobs are you looking at in ME? I graduated with BSME a few years ago. Just curious what's in Colorado.

just look, they legalized marijuana, a bad drug that should be eradicated not legalized.

Your (and Buff's) opinions not withstanding, the reasons to legalize marijuana dramatically outweigh the reasons to keep it illegal. Drug use actually decreases in situations where recreational use is decriminalized, legalizing it strips the power and the money from the drug cartels and the tax dollars that would result from legalization are substantial.

What reasons do you have to support keeping it illegal?

Please, living out in the woods and minding one's own self Colorado is one of most beautiful states out there, and if it wasn't for recent laws, a high income tax, and a dumb voter base, it would be a good place to live.

But living there, is another story, you need to deal with scum, druggies, ect, if you decide to have kids, keep in mind they will grow up in a bad environment. just look, they legalized marijuana, a bad drug that should be eradicated not legalized.

Not to mention, its income tax is pretty whack, in terms of states that charge flat income tax (meaning you get taxed, even if you make minimum wage) it falls behind only utah and Massachusetts. Starting out this is a bad thing (4.6% amounts to alot of money over the course of a year), and when you are making money, 4.3% is a big chunk of change. I suggest you move to a state without income tax.

you really can't be serious??? he's moving to Colorado not compton. and yea pot is really ruining this country, how many people have died from it so far? meanwhile alcohol causes over 100,000 per year and that's considered acceptable?

I live in NJ...please, no jokes. I was born and raised in NY and probably have told them all myself.
I never heard of CHR before seeing this forum. (I originally joined the site for the metal detecting forums). Reading the posts piqued my interest so yesterday I got 20 rolls of pennies from my local bank. Preface - I know very little about double strikes, mint marks, valuable dates...but I will. The only thing I was looking for were wheaties, of which I found 15. If anyone hails from NJ is this an average find?

Hmm... If someone on this forum is from Colorado, then I might imagine they would be offended.. While I am not from Colorado, I have visited many times and even have some friends who live there.. It is certainly an amazing place but I cannot attest to how good it is for CRH... Oh yea.. Make sure you stay away from this kind of stuff when you get there.. This kind of scenery is ugly... Trust me... 50cent told me so...
