They have had it for a while.

ATX

It looks a lot tougher than the one above.

Definitely a sweet and innovative design. Time will tell if it works as good as it looks.

a 350.00 minelab will find as many coins as a yellow lab trained to fetch ducks.I suspect its for kids

I think their meant to compete with the aces and f2 and so on. Should be interesting.

Its neat looking but imagine trying to pinpoint with that thing. They could have atleast put a double D coil on it.

That is an odd shaped coil - I'd love to hear from someone who buys one of these. I am always looking for decent kids detectors for my nieces. Have an Ace 350 and an F2 so far and they do use them quite a bit.... but still have one niece to cover :)

Floppy molded plastic or a man machine.... hummmm-

if you don't like it based on the price may suggest the newly upgraded $12,500 CTX 3030 with the 18 inch white bi concave disc for a coil......

I found this.......someone said it looked like a potato chip and dip set up.

Seriously though, I think this kind of innovation should be acknowledged. Some of the $5000 machines are still 70 inches long.
At least it is portable. How difficult was that?

Yes it does look a little funny .. or different ..but compact..

Then go promote and acknowledge it... you are on the Garrett forum for fooks sake...

Well i put it up here with the hopes that the Garrett team would see it .. And say we have to make one like that...

Seriously.....it looks like a piece of exercise equipment you see on infomercials!:laughing9: Once it is fully extended, you put your foot on the coil, grab the grip with the counter and start doing doing resistive bicep/triceps strengthening, dorsiflexion exercises, all for 3 easy payments of.......

I am sorry, it just looks so weird, lacking any good structural integrity. I would be embarrassed to even post it on their own forum. Stay tuned for the trolls to fight back. I hope they take their indifference over to their own forum.

Even the comments on the Minelab Forum are negative! :laughing7:

The first thing that plastic detector reminded me of was the Viper Trident line of quality.

I'm sure there is a fan base for that kind of detector.

The ATX however has a different clientele--

I like the idea of a detector being more compact, but this just looks like some kids toy nerf gun.
