started about 1973-4. Had an old timer searching a baseball diamond & I watched himpicking up coins. I got the TH bug and bought my first machine which was a Whites 5900 Di. I love this hobby

I'm an old timer, bought my first detector a Relco Frontiersman in late 1969 and have been addicted since finding my first Merc dime... in my front yard trying it out.Have had about 10 different detectors since that time...6 of them the White's brand.

I recently received a Troy (Shadow) X3 (Christmas)
I wish I had this machine in the 60s.
