How many 40% and 90 % do you have on hand??

With respect only to halves found (not bought), I've got 358 90% and 1,732 40% sitting in my safe deposit box, waiting for silver to hit $30 again.

Halve those figures for face value.

I'm around 150 - 90%ers and 1200- 40%ers. I'm waiting too former teller.

Same boat as formerteller and dannycoco. Waiting until silver prices get back up, I'm in no rush, just stacking. I'm at about 1300 40% and about 400 90%

we is all sittin' on a pile O' halves

---------------waitin' ------------ (as John Candy would say on SCTV) ---------------- 'til it gets blowed up--------------blowed up real good :laughing7::laughing7:

None. Every time I find a coin that is potentially worth more than face value and may represent a taxable gain in the eyes of the government I immediately release it back into circulation. Therefor I have none.

Same with me. I've been hunting over 30+ years, and have never sold a single coin. I own no coins.

It's funny how the people that ask these questions, never answer the question themselves. Then a few answer and a few refuse to answer because they believe the government is going to come find them and tax them on what they have. As for me, I don't have any, all the stories I have told on this site about finding silver half dollars have been made up so I would feel like I belonged. So going by my made up stories, I have 840 40% and 120 90%, not bad for just over 3 years hunting, that I really don't do?!.

Almost all of my stack was lost, while on vacation crossing the Grand Canyon.

YEA THERE HAS BEEN A LOT OF THESE INTRUSIVE TYPE QUESTIONS LATELY. Information is one of the best commodities.

A few years ago, someone came along and asked everybody about how much PM they had on hand. That same someone also did contests promising a silver half/quarter/dime as a prize to be mailed to the home address of whoever guessed the answer.

Speculation was that that someone was compiling a hit list of homes to go after.

My questions are 1) why ask people how much they have? and 2) why ever tell someone who asks you?

I don't have any silver but I have plenty of brass and lead [emoji6]

I don't got nuthin! The Feds always make sure of that!

Isn't this social media here? I know I could google the question posted here and almost immediately I'd get a link to each of your stashes.

Silence is golden.

I'm not terribly worried about it. As noted, all finds are in a safe deposit box, my info on T-net is pretty anonymous, and the IRS is only concerned with sales, not finds, which for me are years down the road. Of course, I plan to pay all applicable taxes...
