If it was a '64, it certainly wasn't a clad! The 64 Kennedy was only made in silver, as were all other US dimes, quarters and halves of this year.

Conversley, if it was a clad 1964, then it's the only one I've ever heard of...

Yea '64 is silver, If not then it is a rare mistrike !!

Keep @ it and HH!

1 Walking, 2 Franklins, 1 Kennedy

I have only found 1 Morgan dollar, an 1888-O (inland)

As for the silver halves........Wow!...........Don't remember, but I'll just say it is literally dozens........many dozens. Most were beach coins which I sold for scrap back in the early 80's. I remember sometimes finding five or six a day. Thanks for the memories!

a a battery,
After forty years its still a thrill! I'm thrilled with the two franklins and one silver dollar this year. Although I enjoy finding newer stuff(especially rings),I still love silver coins.....Kane 23

Two Sliver Halves - A Walker and a 40% JFK (both at the same park)

One Silver Dollar - 1911 Chinese Silver Dollar (on a farm field)

Only one - a 1943 Walking half in a private back yard this spring. It was my first silver coin ever & fed the fever for sure!

Come to think about it, I found it with my first & cheapest detector - a BH Land Star. Those were the days...

Two walking liberties 23 and 43. Does my 1943 Australian Florin count? :icon_scratch:
