Congrts, Jake now that's the smart way to hunt, I'm sure you didn't need to add fresh batts. or tune in the discrim, mode, or even dowse for it, when you walked into the bank of your choice, ;D A job well done, thanks for the tip we can all
benifeit from it. May your coin pouch continue to be full and blessed, have a good weekend.

I struck out on 30 rolls of quarters yesterday - I did end up with 5 bicents. and a total of 3.25 in extra quarters. 13 rolls had 41 quarters. I'm gonna give some pennies a run here soon - and some dimes!

Nada out of 10 dime rolls today.

So far 2 wheats out of 34 penny rolls. 16 more penny rolls to go!

I was in a store one day on my way back from detecting ( I got skunked). The kid at the register opened a penny roll and the whole thing was wheats. He didn't think they were leagal tender anymore so I offered to buy them from him for 50 cents. When I got home I found 4 or 5 teens and 20s. but the best in it was 1909 vdb. always check your change :)

NICE 3 HOUR HAUL !!! I don't get it, I am the most unlucky person in the world. I searched only 2 rolls of dimes and found my birth year 79 and some 65's but thats it. I Searched 2 rolls of nickles and found 1 keel boat, 2 peace and 1 ocean veiw nickle/nickles. No silver? :-\ ever I can't find it in the ground in the stores or in the banks around here!! Only in coin shops, pawn shops and antuique stores. I sware everyone in 100 miles around me collect coins and metal detects. Because I can't find shiznat! Well its good to here someone can find the stuff!

Keep @ it and HH!!

Man... you need to go back and get some more. All the rolled coin I ever get from a bank are new coin...

My first thought when I read this post was "none"... I am surprised.

Don't get frustrated. The key to good roll finds is volume and persistance.

I did a prolonged half dollar search earlier this year and went through about $800 without finding anything interesting. But then I found three 40% silvers in one $100 batch. All it takes it your first silver or obsolete coin find and you'll double your efforts.

Finished the 50 rolls of pennies - just the two wheats.

I'll never give up tho - the fun is in the search - i plan on getting another larger chunk on monday. Lots of pennies in the rolls are in sad shape (the zincers).

This probably has everything to do with the bank you get the rolls from. Jake probably is going to the perfect bank - crappy rolling machines and tellers who don't collect coins. I would guess most banks have a teller or two that keeps an eye out for worthwhile coins etc. At least thats what I would expect. Of course it is a numbers game either way, no matter who is checking, they are bound to miss a few if you go through enough rolls.
