I looking for ammunition dumps in new York for metal detecting. I have search and search for hours in my area, but I can find any ammunition dumps in my area. anyone have any ideas where to find any ammunition dumps in Rochester ny.

I don't think ammunition is abandoned. It is stockpiled or auctioned (or sent to insurgents quietly). "Dump" is just a slang term for a depot or stockpile.
