How to make an underwater housing for the Minelab Gold monster 1000 detector

I am thinking of making an under water housing/case for the Minelab GM 1000 detector. Does anybody ever thought about this? Or have ideas of how to make one?

I know, I wish they had made the GM 1000 water proof! Than I did not have to start this project!
It is not for deep water diving. Only need to be waterproof up till 10 feet depth, so I can use it for shallow water snorkeling!
