I used to click on a persons profile and was able to send them a message and now I can't find it.
How to send a message?

Click on their name and then on bottom right of page that comes up, their will be a heading to "start conversation".

If you look at the envelope on the top of the page by your name you should see a number. Likely the number one. I sent you a pm to get you started. Click on the envelope.
