How would you ask TD to reprogram their machine to take $500 halves

Well, I am not known as a diplomat in my life. So what would be a nice approach for this? 1k coins would need 10 bags and lots of their time and mine.

It's very doubtful that if they don't do this on their own that they will do it. I have 1 branch that does this when I get there and then changes it back to $100 when I leave

my one branch attaches a big bag to it and fills that bag 5 times until it has $500 in it, unfourtinately this one is out of my way. My other branch (my main branch) fills the bags every $100 which is annoying. the tellers think it is lighter to carry 10 bags of $100 rather than 2 bags of $500. either way, i have conversations with the tellers, they like me at TD

I think you answered your own question. Do your 1k coins, and halfway through ask them "is there any way you can reprogram your machine...?" Maybe offer to call them well in advance next time; just don't wear out your welcome.

In my area one TD will take $500 in halves and another will only do the $100 at a time thing. I pointed this out to the manager of the one that will only take the S100 at a time. He stated that he was going to try to get the machine re-calibrated to accept $500 like the other branches does. Hope he is able to.
