Hudson Terraplane Grille from 1930's

I found this a few weeks ago but just got it home.

Detecting a creek bed on my friends property for possible gold nuggets I ran across this grill that was imbedded in the earth. Luckily my friend has a backhoe and was able to dig it out and save me lots of work. :laughing7: He had no interest in it so I thought it might look cool outside of an old cabin that I have.

I looked up Hudson Terraplane and according to Wiki these were produced between 1932 and 1938. Looks like it matches pictures for the 1938 model. That's the extent of my knowledge.

I wonder if there is a better use for it besides using it as a cool "lawn ornament" ? If you found one of these what would you do? :icon_scratch:

Cool find but looks like a few bug's faces I have seen in the past! Could you imagine seeing a bug coming at you that was that big??!!:icon_pale:

I'd put it for sale on Ebay for $500 and see what sticks. Nice recovery.

too bad it's kinda rough, but it's still really cool. I'd bet someone would buy it for a bar or man cave item

I'd clean it up, and make it a wall hanging.
Kudos!
