Dear members

Recently I bought a huge 3135 ct Sapphire (heated) Measure approx 90x80x50 mm on a bankruptcy action in Denmark

I have absolutely no clue what it could be worth. I do know a little bit about Gem Stones and the prices depends of lot of things but If one of you could give your opinion/ thoughts or perhaps the minimum price I should ask for it, then I would be very grateful!

I also have a red big ruby (raw and heated) which is 1730 ct approx 69x49x42 mm

Welcome to the party. Interesting post but ok. That sucker is large and maybe someone from gems can help you. Good Luck.

Just my opinion and thoughts as requested...

Please explain why anyone would make a blind purchase then ask what its resale value would be?

As a buyer/seller this is information that should be known prior to purchase.

Nice paperweight,,
I HAVE to fully agree with stefen.
WHY would you buy this without knowing anything about it?
I seriously think it is cool
BUT
To me it would depend on authenticity and a real appraisal

Interesting, how clear is it, the picture is difficult to tell. Can you put a light behind it and take a picture?

You also mention a 1700+ct red ruby...this would be very unusual...perhaps an image of that as well..

If it was the right price I'd have taken the risk too.

Here is one about half the size asking $99. Didn't see any sold examples. So I'd say maybe $200 to the right buyer.
