Hummer vs woodpecker

The hummer wasn't happy with the woodpecker,but he did finally chase him off ☺

Around this time of year a few humming birds show here on the front range from now until mid-fall. Nothing like you'd see of them in the cooler higher elevation. I use to spend time in Red River, New Mexico and it's like a humming bird metropolis all around down there.

Tam, I've spent a lot of time in New Mexico and yes they get thick in Red River. They are getting crazy here, they know their time is short ! I believe the Orange Rufus has already left,haven't seen him for a couple of days.
