The Magpies have a nest in one of our trees, they did not like the hawk's presence this morning. They harassed that hawk until it finally flew off.

I see lots of bird conflicts in my area. Hawks, owls and vultures aren’t tolerated by several species. I once saw a Kingbird land on a hawks back while flying and he pecked on the back of his head. We have Sharp shinned hawks. They are bird killers. I saw 3 tree swallows attack a sharp shinned over open ground. The hawk didn’t stand a chance against them. Incredible flyers. Red winged blackbirds are very territorial and will attack redtails immediately. I occasionally hear when the crows find an owl during the day and all hell breaks loose.😁

Just trying to survive, just like us! I guess that's why they call it nature!

Todd's, I know what you mean. One day I was out doing yard work and all hell broke loose, turned around to see the Magpies ,stellar jays and an assortment of smaller song birds just raising hell and chasing a bear out of the area, its amazing how territorial birds are !
