Awesome Video again CD

Don't be so depressed about a Barber, most of us would love to dig one.

Thanks for taking us along.

What's on the button? Can't quite see it.-

flower, thanks!

Flower! I hate when that happens! We think we have a Confederate and get flowers! I have dug a few myself...oh the horror of it all!

I looked for 5 spots . I found 3 ...3 out of 5 is good ! The only thing is they were beat to death! Some of the hardest hit sites I have ever seen. You know how it goes something mind blowing could have flew out the ground on them.

Yes, I was at a 6th Corps camp yesterday. Beat to hades and back again! Been dug since the 1960's at least. Hut holes (not filled in - everywhere). I squeaked one more semi melted mini out of it, under a tree, probably was a Sharps, one more (aargh!) iron underwear button and three Eagle cuff buttons, plus some lead. I am still cleaning up the eagles. All three were near impossible finds. Here is the back of an eagle. The back is BRASS! I've been using the Andre's pencils on it for awhile tonight. It was literally stuck to a piece of a cartridge box tin! All three buttons were the same way, literally stuck to a big piece of iron! I was using the Deus and don't know of any other machine out there that could have done that. I had to go sllooowww and could hear the brass.IMG_1135.webpIMG_1136.webp

being pro diggers and all maybe you could leave those ...stinkin barbers for some poor slob swingin a Tesoro....after all it is the season...:laughing7:

My Cibola has found more valuable stuff than the Deus. Of course, I had it for a lot more years before the switch, and the one gold coin it snagged was worth (supposedly) a lot. It still lives in the safe deposit box. 1774 British Guinea. Stuff has to be there to begin with. Site I have now is almost to the point all you can do is either move a dead tree and see what's under it or get a shovel and dig up some iron and hope there is something with it.

I dug a piece that was brass around iron. I could hear the iron and brass in the audio....

I'm with you there Calabash. Here we have 10 items in a 6" x 6" area, 1 brass button or percussion cap and the rest iron...makes your hair go grey!
