Didn't find much, just the usual type of junk for this kind of spot and not a single coin. It was sure nice to get out and soak up the sunshine though.

One of those metal Social Security cards. This guy didn't want his number on there.

This tiny car was my find of the day. Thought maybe a Monopoly game piece or Cracker Jack prize, but I can't seem to find one like it. Anybody recognize it?

I found this in the same area. Another game piece?

The place I was headed for was up in these hills but I had to turn around because of around 6 inches of snow on the ground!

It appears some poor hobo did lose his harmonica.

I find at least one harmonica reed plate every single time I hunt these mines and ghost towns. Last week I found 5 in one day.

well done.

It's kinda strange how often harmonica reeds are dug up. But many, many, people owned them back in "the old days". We have two that my Dad owned but he was from the pre Depression generation and a harmonica was a common instrument to owm. Thimbles are another curious find. How would a woman lose a thimble in a yard? You would think they would keep them secure and lord help the child that got caught playing with mama or grandma"s sewing thimble!
