water hunting friday...trying to add more gold

exploring a big sand bar. it can get tough to keep direction

and see where youve alredybeen.unlike land there are no points of reference.

enter 3 huge starfish. basketballsize. with the clear water

i was able to see them from pretty far.

thank u sea friends for helping me grid my hunt :laughing7:

also saw a large shadow at 40 ft away that left as i advanced

on it. lets hope a dolphin and not shark

finally got that jewelry signal. stainless ring bleeeech.who stole my gold

i will keep looking never give up.

Scrounger d, sounds a bit like my hunt today..except minus the sea crittersn

I ended up with a broken fake gold ring... and tons of lead sinkers :(

At first I thought you were detecting at night in the water, that is harder to keep on the spot than in daylight. Nice finding the sea stars to keep you in line. There are some whoppers sometime!
 

The whoppers I worry about have big fins and teeth. When Indian Rocks Beach had their pier a lot of Big Sharks were caught less than 30 yards from shore.
