Hunting down a new Site - Day 7 - Roman Silver...

We are still trying to track down a good Roman Site.
Once again I found a New Site with lots of Roman Pot Shards & no Roman Coins. I can only think its been done before.
After nearly 2 hours of nothing I decided to move to the far corner on a hunch. We had confirmed a Site on the other side of the ditch & I thought it may overlap into this field.
I was right & managed a couple of Roman bronze Coins & a Roman Silver yet to be IDed (Cru'dad, if watching will be on the case)
Should have posted yesterday but the silver needed an over-night soak in lemon juice.

I haven't heard those names before Cru' ... Seems like an unusual find...can't wait to see what Cru' dad discovers...your hunch was a good one!

Apparently this coin has imagery related to the Syrian sun god...? Kind of a significant find due to the unique symbolism...AD 222 ....and not very popular with roman culture at the time...Google is amazing
