Hunting for treasure on a bike

Yesterday afternoon was rather warm, so I thought I'd take a ride on my bike to this indoor flea market where treasures can be found. I didn't buy any, but there was one sterling cup that felt by weight in the hand would be a deal on scrap. I took some photos to share and let you see the things you can find in a places like these. I've shopped here for the 30 years it's been in business and in those years many treasures I have purchased and made profits on what I've sold. You just never know what may end up in places like these. Also, you know these individuals who sell do the research online to determine prices and that can educate you in the way of spotting deals that might be found elsewhere. Afterwards I went to a quiet place to sit and relax. I haven't been out peddling much lately during the cold months. Enjoy the tour.

Looks like a fun store to explore. Don't have any true flea markets around me. They've all become upscale antique/home decor stores. I miss one flea market in particular that had a dark, dingy basement where you never knew what you would come across.

Those are my favorite, because a lot of folks would never go in those places thinking they'll be any undiscovered treasures. I found this Dunhill lighted in such a place in my travels. The place smelled like damp mold and was in a run down 19th century old main street store front building. I carry a led key fob light for places like that where things are in glass cases and hardly any light to inspect what's inside.

Out on the road today, I hit a small town antique shop and picked up this awesome vintage Dunhill lighter for a final negotiated price of a flat $37.00 .. It's all sterling with a fired on undamaged black enamel. The hallmarks are for the city of London with a date hallmark for the year 1924. I...
