I've been deployed to New York City in response to Hurricane Sandy for going on a month and a half now. I havent seen my detector since i left home obviously..... I should finally be going home this weekend. Its been tough looking at all these finds on here......nice work everyone.

Looking forward to getting home and get back swinging.

Where are you deployed here in New York? I wish I had known because I would have brought a detector to you!!!

I appreciate that offer Terry....but I was working 14 hour days, not sure I would have had time anyways. They had us living on a ship docked at Staten Island, but I was working over in Queens.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart Shawn. Two of our close friends lost their homes completely at Breezy Point, and another's was damaged badly. Big Props to You!

I was out at Breezy Point.....worst hit area that I saw. You want to do more for those people, but its just going to take time. It will become more difficult as winter hits.

I spent 19 days with Sandy.Worked around Atlantic City and farther North, all in New Jersey. It was the first hurricane that I worked that we were snowed on.We worked 16hr days, but I did manage to walk around in a field or two.I was happy to get home, and I know you will be too! Lightman
