hi everyone, had a day off today, so i did a bit of research on american influence on the local gold fields here.i found out that there was an american gold mine called the ulysses grant 1882-1927, at a place called husslers hill.i could wait to get there.i didnt have much luck at the mine site so i went the camp site and found a few coins.the mine was owned and operated by an american called John boyd watson.i found 2 indian heads. 1890 18!! and a quarter 1908 and a dime 1899 and a chinese coin date unknown.

tinpan p.s thanks gypsy for your help

Nice finds! Keep finding those sites and I am going to have to come over there! ;) looks like this one is going to really be productive for you!

Nice finds TinPan. A holed barber dime. Someone must have been wearing it at one time.

Nice job, tinpan. I'm in the US and still haven't found a barber dime yet. :(

Nice finds...Send me a better picture or drawing of the Chinese coin and I will date it for you!

Very nice finds and great research! Any trailing piles from the mine? HH, Mike

Congrats on the cool coins and silver. Research does pay off.
