I believe I might have a silver Spanish reales or something

My brother picked this coin at our job's parking lot and as he was about to toss it, I said WAIT! I looked at it and I said to him this might be a silver reales, he looked at it and didn't cared for it so he gave it to me. The real question is: what can it be? I know it's unidentifiable but perhaps size, weight, color, faded lines and not completely round shape (looks clipped on one edge) hopefully provide enough info to determine what it might be. Thanks for all the help guys!

If it is a real, you can (usually) determine its denomination by its weight.
Start with the standard weight for an 8R (to the year 1728) --about 27.5 grams, then divide by 2,4,8 or 16 to get either a 4R, 2R, 1R or 1/2 R.
You can use electrolysis on the coin (assuming its silver) to get the crud off.

It looks like it might be a copy. It doesn't appear to be a real cob. The 'silver' flaking adds to the look of a copy, too.

Weight is not right. For size. Should weigh 20-27 grams. worn to full weight
