I've wanted to find a seated quarter for quite a while now and finally did :happysmiley: it's a real smoothy but I'm still happy about finally finding one, I've been detecting since 89 but there's still a lot of firsts to be found. I was hunting one of my woods haunts, first I found the ring which is really thick and heavy but it fits me perfect, it's Mexico 925 and I found the seated about an hour later on the other side of a path I was working. When I got the signal for the quarter I was tangled up in vines and briars, I swiped the leaves away with my foot and the quarter went with them so I didn't even have to use my Lesche ;D I kept the can lid cause it had one of the original zip top pull tabs still attached, I wanted to find out what kind of beer it was but it didn't say.

Congrats on the seated! Great find. Don,t know type as multiple brewers used similar cans per this link but it does suggest late 63 as its use for the loose tab, to start.Zip Tops

Cool digs!

Well done! Good to check one off the list!

Nice!! Congrats again Giant!! Can't wait to find a Seated Quarter. That ring looks pretty sweet and heavy also. WTG man

That's awesome. Nice find on that Seated Quarter.

Man...it seems like 9/10 seated dimes or quarters I see dug in Michigan are from 1876...whats up with that?
