I drove to NOLA and the parks were filled with people nobody’s worring about the virus apparently, so I drive along the bayou and came across a grassy field that I’ve driven pass a thousand times but it was just cut so I stopped. I was surprised to see a lot of iron square nails, white shells and brick in the clay. It was hard digging but what the hell. My first find was a brass thing I thought interesting then 1897 V nickel very interesting I was freaking out. Then I found a 1926 buffalo. So I came across more iron square nails which were falsing in the low 20’s. Then I hit a spot where it was falsing all over the place but this one had some 30’s mixed in there. Thank God I dig everything. After pulling out about eight square nails I saw what looked like a Mardi Gras doubloon and then i picked it up and looked and fell on my back laughing like a school girl. Here it is in all it’s glory a 1809 8 reales in flawless condition. Unbelievable day to break my 3 month curse. Thank you for sharing in my glory. Not too many come out of the southern Louisiana muck in that type of condition. Excellent job!

Al you are 100% right everything lined up that day it was simply incredible it was just a field that didn’t have any people on it so I went and did it not knowing any history of it at all. I took off work for three days and went back and found nothing

Wow! That’s huge and gorgeous!what is NOLA? I also found a piece of silver this month! Looks like yours but much much smaller. A 2 Reale.

Congratulations on achieving your first BANNER on Tnet Truth! :occasion14:
Just goes to show, you never know what you might find if you don't at least investigate a 'gut feeling'.

Dave

PS. In reference to that park, "filled with people nobody’s worrying about the virus apparently" are not taking the situation seriously enough. :BangHead:

That’s a lot of dough Ray mi for those times! Congrats on making banner!

I truly would like to thank all of you. You guys have been with me through the ups and downs and before the 8 reales I was having my longest dry spell ever. You guys and gals on treasurenet are some of the best people I’ve never met and you’re better than all the people I have met. Again thank you so much for the BANNER. Truly what a gift it is and I humbly except it. Thank you so much for being with me throughout all my detectors I bought, all the shovels I’ve broken and all the pin-pointers I’ve lost. And most of all
GOD BLESS AMERICA [emoji631][emoji631][emoji631]

Yup and it’s in New Orleans and we’re probably the third if not the second or first with the most virus cases. The park was full of people they were having the coronavirus parties. NOLA will party for anything.
