Could either one of these be used for a mold of some kind? Or maybe to pour something into ?

I have made many moulds, used many, and taught many people how to make them....but with out photos I can not help. any chance you can try again to get the photos to post photos?

the big one just looks like a weathered rock, the small red one though looks interesting. Is it like a brittle or soft sand stone? it kind of looks like chunk of a used foundry mould which uses a silica resin to bond sand together. but it also kinda just looks like a rock. the foundry mould would be easily scratched by a knife if that was what it is. can i get some more photos and some context to where they were found?

Neither appear to me to molds.
Just to satisfy your curiosity buy some play-dough (or make some, you can google how), press it in, and remove and examine.
