Hit a field tonite I hunted last year. Was hoping I missed a few keepers, well I was right!

First keeper of the nite was a general service CW button and about 30 minutes with no keepers....no coins yet I get a nice smooth 12-12 signal and less than an inch deep out popped the KING of the V nickels!! 1885....woohoo!! Also got a toasted 1880 Indian

andthen I dug a couple lead bullets. How old are they any ideas??

Great finds man! Congrats on the "V" Nickel! Here is some info:

1885 Liberty Head V Nickel Value | CoinTrackers

From the site:
Type: Liberty Head V Nickel
Year: 1885
Mint Mark: No mint mark
Face Value: 0.05 USD
Total Produced: 1,472,000 [?]
Silver Content: 0%
Numismatic Value: $607 to $2328
Value: As a rough estimate of this coins value you can assume this coin in poor condition will be valued at somewhere around $607, while one in "perfect" condition can bring $2328.

It is certainly a nice find that can't be denied. However price guides are for reference and are for retail sale of problem free coins. Usually ebay ended auctions are a good indicator of value. Looking at similar coins it looks to be between 100 and 200$. If someone is willing to pay $600, take the money and run. I'm not trying to be a downer, just realistic. No one has to "like" this post but I hope it helps put more concrete numbers to this.

Oh I agree it is worth NO where near $600 trust me, but I feel $200 is not too far from true

that's probably a fair assessment... my original estimate did look to be a little low. Congrats on a sweet find!
