Metal Detecting
I headed out this morning to try a new place that's in the shady part of Memphis. Halfway there I realized that I didn't have my gun with me, so I decided to go back to a place that I had already detected before. There wasn't much left, but I did manage to get my search coil over a deep Rosie dime with my modded Cibola.

On my way home I drove by a old church that detected before and noticed that the grass on the end of building that I haven't detected was not thick and high like it was the last time I was there. I decided to give it go.

My F75DST was my weapon of choice, because I was going to do some serious cherry picking. Man I had a field day at this second site. I got my search coil over 3 Rosie dimes, a large 925 silver ring, 30 clad quarters and a bunch of clad dimes. I left a lot of targets in the ground, so I'm going back with my Cibola to clean-up what's left. There maybe a gold ring or two!

This is my 23rd hunt for the year and I'm up to 76 silver coins, 4 gold rings, several pieces of silver jewelry and some other neat stuff.

That's a lot of digging! Leave me some silver for next month LOL

You have done a wonderful play day. Congrats!

An excellent day by any measurement!

But, as far as the gun goes? If I don't feel safe enough to hunt a place, without having a gun with me, that ground can keep whatever is there. (IMHO of course)

Be safe!

Im always happy to see people doing that well. someday Ill find the hot spot good job!!!!

Oh wow I am still looking for one of those places. I would be back there for sure. Great finds.

yep, a BUNCH of good finds, for sure!
Way to go!

guess you don't get as many aluminum cans down there

Damn Tab Man you found (in 2 months) what it takes me a year to dig. I hope there are coins left in the ground, so that when I retire I can score like you.

Very nice job on the silvers.

Awesome job. If your ever looking for a detecting buddy hit me up. I live in Bartlett and hunt a few places around town and always looking for new ground.

Now then, get your equipment---your quiver and bow---and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

Thanks. How fast can you do the 40-yard dash carrying a metal detector and do you pack a gun?

Yes I pack. Too old to take a butt whoopin, too young to die, too out of shape to run
