I found a large copper today

[zaxfire69]

Hello everyone. I returned to the spot I dug those silver coins at the other day. I was in for a big surprise. Got a solid 89-90 on the ATPro at around 6 inches. Cut the plug and out popped a beautiful 1847 Large cent in great condition. I am really excited about digging this one. I don't find many of these anymore. Glad I could save one more. Thanks for looking.

I like it. Does really well. Good depth, plus it will take wet conditions.

Thanks Sentinel. It does have some nice detail left. Kinda nervous about cleaning it anymore. Its fragile.

That's a beauty, one of the coins on my 'hope to find list'. That's the first LC I have seen posted from Mississippi. The soil down here is rough on copper but that one held out well. You have a great spot there Zax and keep posting those nice finds! Tom
