It is a shame that Pyrite is generally only used for starting fires (i.e. struck with another hard metal to produce a spark) and at one time was used as a replacement for Flint in Flintlock firearms! If some beneficial and substantial uses could be found for Pyrite, then the O.P. could have a valuable find.
