Normally I do the reconciliation weekly, but hit a lazy streak - two weeks this time....

And of course, what do you know - got an attempted popping for $77.10 Banggood.com from Hong Kong.... The way it's worded, kinda think it's a porn site. I immediately contacted BB&T, "Fraud Report". The guy on the other end was great! We had a chuckle or two on the debit name. Since they'd sent me a Fraud Alert, they hadn't processed the charge.

That's the first time in my life I've ever been popped like that, and I do seriously thank BB&T

Check your accounts regularly - don't get lazy like me!

Glad you caught it! I got called by my bank 3 weeks ago. $465 and $250 charge to Game Stop on my debit card.. The bank caught it. The charge would have been a week old before I saw it. So good thing. I wonder if they ever catch these turds, and what they do to them...second time for me. A few years ago someone spent over $500 online at guitar center with my debit card. I caught that one, but the bank fixed it.

look close for debts you might normally ignore. A debt of .10 cents will tell the hack if they can enter your account.
Most might not pay attention to a dime. If they get the dime they come back with something more ambitious.

Had a phone call from Capitol One not too long ago. They wanted to know If I had purchased a $19 Pizza in NYC...... I told them 1st thing is I don't think one could get a pizza for $19 in NYC !! .... and no...... was 1700 miles away from there!! <grin>

For some that think you might have been hacked, look back at your bank statements to see if there was a tiny withdrawal attempt before the larger one. There often is. Block anything suspicious.
