The other day I was at an old abandoned ranch , the ranch is perhaps 1/4 mile from an abandoned silver mine. The 2 items came from a field across from the ranch. At first I thought the chunk of metal was lead, when I got home, I tried to gouge it with a knife, it is not lead, then I got out my test kit, not silver, or platinum.
The piece of tin was a surface find, and has a cotter pin in the center. The building in the picture is all what is left of the ranch, a well.
