Congrats on the new detector. I swing the F75 LTD SE and had it upgraded last Feb. I only have about 60 hours on it and have hunted in many of the modes. The mode I select depends on the site and what targets I am looking for. My normal mode is PF (plowed Field) it minimizes the falsing when hunting on ground that is not flat. If I come across a whisper I switch to BP to see if I can get a better ID and I switch to FA for iffy signals to see if I can get better target separation. I have yet to hunt in BC (bottle cap) mode. I may try the BC mode when I am hunting at a camp grounds since there are many bottle caps and pull tabs. I hunt in discrimination mode, not too much in all metal mode and I hunt in either 3H or 4H tone.
Others, from what I've read, use the JE or DE modes primarily
