I just saw gold. How would you get it?

So, I just left the bank where I deposited some coins that I found metal detecting. They were still a little dirty and some jammed the machine. Manager had to open it up and I saw a gold ring in the inside trash reject tray. I could not get myself to ask him if I could have it. I know I should have just asked, but didn't. Should I go back and tell them that I may have lost a ring in there? I know that is a lie, because I am positive it did not come from my coin jar. I got a descent look at it and feel I could generally describe it. What would you do or say

Personally my integrity has a higher price tag than a what may or may not be a gold ring.

Pull a Bill Clinton and lie without lying.

Call and ask if they found (or could check for) a gold ring in the coin machine and to let you know if they found it so that you can come pick it up. You don't have to say that it belonged to you.
