For years I have wanted a RV, had camper van ounce and it was great. Since I no longer have a home ,officially august 31 my last day legally. I searched craigslist for a class A or C to buy. Found one, he wanted 7000$ for it, if I did some creative financing it could be done. Well he finally called me and I told him I was going to sell just under 1oz of gold for it and he immediately said he would trade the rv for the gold.

Then the truck chassis, transmission and engine needs inspection, because these aren't cheap when it needs work. Protect your potential investment by having the entire unit inspected by a competent person. The camper mechanical systems like fridge, heat, generator can be costly.

If you're somewhat low on life savings, please get it inspected.

A good deal for what u wants to do. If u have done this before Im sure u know what to look for in a camper and fix it if ur handy in the long run. Gotta have enuff money to do this! U know someone who can look over for u is a plus, Case of beer or money his way checking camper for u. Have him come along with u to check out camper. play it safe! Yes, gold continues to increase, but it can decrease just as fast. If it were me, I'd do it as long as the RV is in decent condition.

From one picture it doesn't give us any details. Year, class, body, engine, milage. ( Picture of the RV might help)

RV living is ok-when all the ducks are lined up in a row.

A few real life questions come to mind.
-Weather ( Meaning is there the possibility of winter living or freezing temps in the future)
-Fuel costs no matter what size these units are pigs on fuel
-Where to park it, (meaning WalMart parking lots can get a little tiring after awhile.)
-Pad rent
-Pump outs
-Up keep on body, mechanical
The list above isn't a negative to your idea, it's just a few things that need to be seriously considered.

not doing it, after seeing new pics its leaks and saw mold. also not street legal. looking into a ford campervan.

Be sure and check the floors for soft spots. Especially if it has a slide and around the toilet area.(found this out the hard way) List more specs---how long,age etc.

going a different direction, I used to have 1986 ford Econoline camper van and loved it but had to sell it. Just found a 1991 Econoline camper van for sale, 8900$, i know i can talk that down, needs a lot of interior work but out side perfect.
