Well I'm sure you guys and gals are tired of me posting these pesky Trade Axes, but honestly I tried another site about 25 miles away from the last one. Plus this is by far the largest one to date, as the look on my sons face. Other finds from this site include a total of 7 coppers that I found with one given to the farmer, he was quite pleased…Several buckles and one button…no musket balls once again (weird how it works) Now the silver was a pleasant but unexpected find in another field on the way home… Lots of those mosquitos out there but the deet kept them away but I can't feel my face :dontknow:. Thanks for looking!

I'll leave that with IP … but know how much they go for at museums… I sold (donated) one to the museum for $800...but know it would be a lot lower...will chime in after IP

NOW THERE IS A YOUNG MAN WITH A BIG SMILE ON HIS FACE AND A NEET AXE HEAD HE IS HOLDING . PATRIOT U GOT SOME NICE FINDS THERE . I WENT OUT FOR A FEW AND FOUND ANTS AND NOTHING ELSE .

Ooohh myyy! That Vicky half is an extremely hard coin to find! In 1881 there were 150,000 minted, so they are scarcely dug.

And the trade axe...that's a top shelf relic, you had a great day!

That's a big axe. Nice silver coin also.

That is a NICE big silver!!! Congrats on the finds! :occasion14:

Sweet finds Amigo ! I'm officially green with envy !!!!!!!!!! Love em both , Wow the Silver Vickie is a real winner !

That's two great finds you got there, either one would make a hunt great. Congrats on the day!

Nice job on the 50 cent piece. I've found a few trade axes also, I often wonder why a seemingly good axe was tossed/lost?

That sucker is huge. Looks so big with your son holding it. Nice find. Congrats!

Well never know i guess...just need a good imagination.

Awesome finds!!! Love that big silver, 1881 ! I'd be stoked, congrats and enjoy HH

The trade axes must be piling up in your basement these days!!
A pile of those fifty cent pieces wouldn't hurt your feelings much either

I had a good feeling when the farmer said there was a foundation way down by the edge of the river! I'm sure there was more around, it seemed the signals were hiding well. Congrats on the big silver! Could have easily missed that one, good thing I hit those buttons so we didn't move on so quickly haha!

Amazing hunt The Patriot. The axe is awesome, and you got a whole mess of buckles. I am jealous of that wide frame shoe buckle... Much cooler than the bits and pieces I turned up yesterday. ha
