I know it's a bullet but.......................

I don't know the age or origin of this bullet that I dug in a school yard about 12 years ago, I think a kid brought it for show and tell. It's never been fired and I'm not sure if it would be volitile or not.
It's a Dominion 44-40.

Dominion ammo manufactuer is out of Canada. The .44/40 is or was a popular combination round for the lever action rifle and single action pistol. It's not necessarily old and my judgement is it's pretty safe.
