Have no idea whether this was used for killing small animals or what. I found it on top of the ground in Middle Tennessee this morning. Quite a nice surprise. I would say if it was completely finished the arrowhead would be about 2 to 3 inches long, a rough guess. I have seen some points that are squared off but this one is slightly flared.

Very nice base with a very flat break (right?).

It used to be finished and very nice ... then it broke.
Very slim chance, but you'll want to keep your eye out for the tip end.
1 in 600,000 broken points found ... the second part is found and matched up. :)

Yes the broken area is very flat. Would this have been a spear point?

I found a broken Andice once. Six months later, 300 yards away I found the broken ear. I almost didn’t even put it in my pocket. Bluish Georgetown flint.
one of my prized possessions.

Also think it is an atlatl dart point or a hafted knife. I'm thinking the other piece would look something like this.

The broken off piece was probably in the animal or adversary it hit.If you know of a campsite close by, maybe the rest is there.

Could also have been broken from being tumbling around in the ground for a few thousand years.
