I found a couple things I'm just tying to get a rough date on.

First is a military US pin. I know by the backers it ain't all that old. Can someone confirm this is most likely a 1980's era pin?

The second is a porcelain coated bowl, I'm guessing somewhere around 1900, but I don't know for sure. Other things I found in the area were 1895-1918.

Wierd thing about the bowl, I found another, different shape, same pattern nearly 80 miles away last summer.

Your bowl is graniteware and your date range is probably correct on that one....Could be a little later.

I agree with villagenut, the date of your enameled bowl is likely c1920.

Cool, thanks guys.

I knew the collar pin wasn't old, but its still kinda cool. Was amongst a bunch of scattered brass from the 80's in a place where the military is currently "semi-active"

The bowl is fron a homestead i'm hunting after work, I can track it's history from about 1887 to 1910, but i lose it after that, and I know it was gone in 1954.
