I found a lot of cool things since i started in October. This is something i cant tell if its confederate or union shell. I dug in a field 3 in. Under soil. Place has been hunted for years im told.

I'm not any kind of an expert.

But if I were you I'd be very careful handling that piece, and I don't believe I'd keep it in my house until it was evaluated by an expert. It may need to be de-fused. It may be a live round.

None the less, it is a great find.
