Hi everyone, my name is Steph and I have been a MD enthusiast for most of my life. I can see by reading through this forum, that there are several members from RI. Hello, neighbors!

I currently do not own a detector. My first one was a cheapo Radio Shack model that didn't find much. I sold it on ebay several years ago for $20. I hope the new owner got more use out of it than I did!

One of my new year's resolutions is to acquire a good detector by springtime so I can go digging. One of my co-workers already gave me permission to hunt his big back yard, where a diamond ring went missing a few years ago. Another friend works construction and told me there is always fresh fill around, and I am welcome to check it out. I can hardly wait to get started!

I see a lot of coins posted, that people find in their change from stores, and this is why I decided to register here today. I heard an unusual jingle in my pocket at the store this morning, and checked to find a silver 1961 quarter. I can't post a photo right now, but the quarter is in nice shape. Thanks for reading!
